American television campaignist Jimmy Swaggart’s millions of dollars weakened globally after the sex scandal broke out, and his lover died at the age of 90.
His church said: “For more than seventy years, Brother Swagt has poured into his life, preaching the gospel, singing the song of faith, and pointing millions to the salvation power of Jesus Christ and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.”
Mr. Swaggart fell into cardiac arrest on June 15 at his home in Baton Rouge. His family said he was taken to the hospital.
Mr. Swaggart began preaching through radio and became a pioneer of Televangelism in the 1960s, bringing his success into the media empire until the sex scandal derailed.
