How Epstein Case tore Margo’s Conspiracy Wing

For Donald Trump’s administration, it seems like a simple decision – publish documents related to the late convicted pedophile financier Jeffery Epstein, or keep it away from the public eye.

But in some of the more conspiring spaces online, the fierce struggle between supporters of the U.S. president shows that the choice Trump faces is simply not easy.

In these spaces, users argue about trusting the White House, they speculate on what might happen behind the scenes and Trump’s strategic acumen – some fans love to play the “4D chess” game.

“Don’t be distracted by Epstein Shills,” one commentator wrote. One commentator firmly supported Thedonald, a popular message board that was full of news, conspiracy theories and language, from salty to extreme offensives.

“I haven’t asked for the release of Epstein documents at once, because I’m not a complete one, total [fool],” the commenter added.

But this view is far from universal.

“Epstein’s transparency now!!!” a reply.

Another user criticized the president’s recent statement saying supporters focused on the Epstein issue: “Don’t [lash] At your own base…this makes you look introverted. ”

With the rumble of legends, as the coverage is driven, further details about Trump’s relationship with Epstein, and a meeting with Epstein’s Justice Department at the criminal partner Ghislaine Maxwell’s — the pro-Trump online space invests heavily in conspiracy ideas almost the same way more mainstream Republicans have divided.

Trump became friends with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s, but was not accused of any misconduct, as part of an investigation into his former friends.

According to Trump, the two fell in the early 2000s, two years after Epstein was first arrested. The White House recently suggested that their consequences were related to Epstein’s actions, “the president kicked him out of the club because he was a creep.”

Although the contents of any unissued documents are unclear, existing materials in the public domain refer to many of the high-profile figures who have ties to Epstein – although this does not mean any illegal activity.

The president had previously said he would be willing to disclose more information about Epstein. But he changed his position earlier this month, saying the case was closed.

Some of the President’s outstanding allies now feel frustrated with what many Americans consider to be simple demands.

“Look, where I’ve been to every time I ask me this question,” Trump Republican Senator Thom Tillis sometimes tangled with Trump. “Release the damn file.”

A U.S. Department of Justice official spoke with Maxwell in prison Thursday, despite the skepticism about her and the slightest reaction to her.

Although Trump’s biggest supporters insisted on the president, many tried to get along with his movement to make America great again (Maga) with what they obviously saw as he dropped on further information.

After years of demanding Epstein transparency, they tried to stand by their men, a call that Trump recognized in last year’s presidential election and last year’s presidential campaign, and several top administrations, including FBI Director Kash Patel, have been pushing for years.

Laura Loomer, a far-right conspiracy theorist with massive social media, is an informal and influential White House adviser who posted a link to a news article in which she said in Epstein’s archives “Trump is not implicated.”

In addition to supporting messages, the re-return on X is very fast:

“How do you know.”

“He actually competed with Epstein.”

Before they fell, dozens of other users responded to historical pictures of Trump and Epstein.

and news like “We want to see the Epstein file!” – a follower posted on the conservative podcast Charlie Kirk, which now seems to be common online, just like the most popular slogan used by case obsessives: “Epstein did not commit suicide.”

The quote is a reference to one of the most common conspiracy theories, where Epstein was killed by an unknown assaulter and did not kill his life like the official narrative, when he died in prison in 2019.

The Justice Department and the FBI rejected the theory in a memo earlier this month. They also said they did not rumor Epstein’s “customer list”, which may suggest that in addition to Maxwell, in Epstein’s criminal operations, in addition to Maxwell.

It was this memo that started the renewed focus on Epstein, which recently dominated the U.S. news cycle.

After initially questioning government officials and asking for more documents to be published, many popular MAGA influencers, including Loomer, Jack Posobiec and Pro-Trump alternative blogs and sites like Zerohedge, have emerged in recent days to support the topic and try to get the audience’s attention elsewhere.

But others – including former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon and Podcaster Benny Johnson – continue to detail the legend.

The episode even drove some of Trump’s most determined supporters to open the president.

Earlier this week, Jacob Chansley, the so-called QANON shaman, was sentenced for the riots at the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, wearing horns, fur and face paint – released a series of expletive emails targeting Trump of Trump X. His account was quickly deleted thereafter.

But the administration’s efforts to highlight other stories do seem to make up for the energy in some of the most conspiring pro-Trump spaces.

On Thedonald, the latest twists and turns in the Epstein case are just discussions for many people.

Commentators also talked about topics like vaccines, the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s late-night show, and the recently revoked documents by National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, about Russia’s intervention in the 2016 general election.

The declassified documents, while confirming the general view of Russia’s attempt to influence the game, Trump’s allies called for the arrest of former President Barack Obama after Trump accused his predecessor of trying to mistakenly connect him to Russia.

Obama labeled Trump’s remarks as “absurd and weak distractions” and joined other Democrats who called Gabbard’s move a blatant attempt to change the subject.

Like the release of Epstein documents that once were released, Gabbard may have faithfully established greater expectations in Maga.

Those who are still talking about the Epstein case find themselves trying to figure out what they speculate about might be the hidden meaning behind Trump’s actions and raise questions like why the Democratic administration did not release the Epstein case documents – if it does contain any material that could damage Trump’s reputation.

Some of the president’s supporters have been plagued between their desire for more information and the possibility of damaging the action.

“For a decade, leftists have been looking for anything as a wedge between Trump and Marg,” wrote a Thedonald contributor. “This is their most successful attempt to date.”

Others shot back: “Trump put himself in trouble by opening his mouth.”
