Mexico is handing over 26 tops Cartel The deal reached this week with the Trump administration, U.S. leaders.
Cartel numbers are scheduled to fly to the United States on Tuesday.
Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News that today is the latest example of the Trump administration’s historic efforts to tear down cartels and foreign terrorist groups. “These 26 people are all playing a role in bringing violence and drugs to the U.S. coast – in this Justice Department, they will have serious consequences for crimes against the country. We thank President Sheinbaum and the Mexican government for their cooperation on this issue.”

The Trump administration has classified CJNG as a terrorist organization.
Mexico’s attorney general’s office and the Department of Security confirmed that the people were handed over, saying the deal was reached after the U.S. Department of Justice said it would not seek the death penalty for anyone.

The deal comes as an attempted strike by the Trump administration’s focus on border security and attempts to break the cross-border drug-related Mexican cartels.
“President Trump’s priority is to protect the home country, which is why he took a bold step to designate several cartels and gangs as foreign terrorist organizations,” said Anna Kelly, deputy deputy secretary of the White House Press Secretary Anna Kelly, in a statement to Fox News’ digital numbers.

Mexico president Claudia Sheinbaum U.S. troops will not enter Mexican territory after reports that Washington can take action to fight the cartel.
“We work together, we work together, but there will be no invasion,” she said. “It’s not on the table, it’s definitely not next to the table.”

Trump spoke with Sheinbaum, who was more aggressive than the previous president and told her he would delay the country’s 30% tariffs within 90 days.

Mexico also extradited 29 cartel leaders in February, including Rafael Caro Quintero, who prosecutors said was the torture and murder of DEA agents in 1985.
