In response, Trump announced on Friday that he would reposition both submarines to best respond to the escalating tensions between the two countries.

“Based on the highly provocative statements of the former Russian president, now vice chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, I ordered two nuclear submarines to be located in the appropriate areas just in case of these stupid and inflammatory statements,” Trump said in Friday’s Real Society. ”
Trump has not disclosed any other details about the submarine, and defense officials rarely comment on submarine placement given the highly classified nature of its operations.

New tariffs
Trump also signed several enforcement orders on Thursday, including raising Canada’s tariffs from 25% to 35%.
According to the Trump administration, the president raised tariff rates due to Canada’s contribution to the influx of fentanyl and other illegal drugs into the United States. However, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney challenged the assessment.
“Canada accounts for only 1% of U.S. fentanyl imports and has been working to further reduce these volumes,” Carney said in a statement on Friday.

Trump also imposed mutual tariffs on a range of countries on Thursday, raising Brazil’s tariff rate to 50%.
Meanwhile, Trump reached a trade deal with South Korea on Thursday to raise tariffs on South Korea to 15% from the spring. In addition, Trump agreed on Thursday to continue trade talks with Mexico for another 90 days.
Veterans Housing Legislation
Trump also signed VA Home Loan Program Reform Act Entering the law Wednesday, which would make the permanent claim scheme a plan designed to prevent veterans from losing their homes and losing their homes.
The new partial claims program under the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Home Loan Program allows veterans who are paid on mortgages to pay these payments to the end of the loan, while also providing them with interest-free loans during the period.

“This legislation provides veterans and their families with the urgent need for relief,” Trump told reporters Wednesday. “It’s really a great situation and it helps keep our promise of ending veteran homelessness. And, we’ll do that for America. We’ll do it for our great veterans.”
According to Trump, some of the claims plans are estimated to assist up to 3.7 million veterans.
“It’s common sense legislation,” Trump said. “My administration is committed to doing everything we can to ensure that our veterans are respected and treated as much as anyone in the country.”
