House Republicans Avoid Insurgency Push Trump’s Bill to the Final Stage of Congress

House of Representatives has voted to raise president Donald Trump’s In the final stages of Congress, the $3.3 trillion “Big and Beautiful Bill” overcomes concerns about a potential Republican rebellion.

It was a major victory for R-La’s House Speaker Mike Johnson, although the battle is not over yet.

Lawmakers voted to debate Wednesday on the massive Trump agenda bill, a mechanism known as “rule voting” – defeating the last family vote at some time today or tomorrow or sometime tomorrow.

But it is not clear how long the process will take so far. Democrats can still ask various procedural votes to delay final measures, as the law did when it first passed a one-vote in late May.

Conservative lawmakers threaten to make changes to the Senate legislation on Tuesday, a statement the House Liberty Caucus believes would add to the multibillion-dollar federal deficit.

But these concerns seem to outweigh the pressures from House Republican leaders and the president himself – they urged House Republicans to combine around the bill.

The Senate passed a version of the bill early Tuesday morning, revising the House’s rules on sharing Medicaid costs with states, and raising debt ceilings.

Moderates are alert to Senate measures that will shift more Medicaid costs to states that expand plans under Obamacare, while conservatives say These cuts are not enough to offset additional expenditures in other parts of the bill.

Two members of the conservative House Liberty Caucus also sat on the House Rules Committee, RSS.C. Ralph Norman and R-Texas’ Chip Roy, to vote against the measure at a 12-hour hearing on the Rules Committee to consider the bill.

Johnson himself publicly urged the Senate to change as little as possible in the voting contest. But the House of Lords bill ended up being as narrow as the House of Representatives – Vice President JD Vance voted for a tiebreaker.

“I’m not happy with the role of the Senate in our products,” Johnson told reporters Tuesday afternoon. “We understand it’s a back-and-forth process and we’ll work to make all of our members a positive process.”

But Trump realized the truth after the Senate passed the bill urging House Republicans to do so.

“It’s no longer a ‘House Bill’ or ‘Senate Bill’. It’s everyone’s bill. It’s a pride that everyone has received a major policy victory, but the biggest winner will be the American people, who will permanently lower taxes, higher wages and seize house salaries and get family salaries, guarantee borders, and have a stronger army, and publish a stronger army,” the president said. ”

“We can have all this right now, but only when the house Republicans are united, ignoring the occasional ‘civil servant (you know who you are!) and doing the right thing, which sends this bill to my desk. We’re on the plan. Let’s keep going and do it before you and your family are done by July 4th.

Both the House and the Senate are dealing with the thin Republican Party, with only three votes respectively.

The bill will permanently expand the scope of income tax cuts under the Trump 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) lowered, while temporarily adding new tax breaks to eliminate tariffs on tilts and overtime wages.

It also includes new tax breaks for those aged 65 and older.

The legislation also withdraws the green energy tax credit implemented by former President Joe Biden’s inflation reduction bill, with Trump and his allies attacked as a “green new scam.”

The bill will also raise funds from Defense and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) under the name of Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration in the United States

The bill would also raise the debt limit by $5 trillion to avoid potential economically devastating credit defaults sometime this summer if the U.S. uses up cash to pay its obligations.

New and extended work requirements will be implemented for Medicaid and federal food assistance, respectively.

Democrats have used the bill as a tax giveaway to the rich, while cutting federal benefits to working-class Americans.

But Republicans say their tax rules are targeted at work and the middle class – citing measures to eliminate taxes on lean and overtime wages, while arguing that they are reforming the federal welfare program to work better for those who really need them.

D-FLA. Progressive Rep. Maxwell Frost told reporters that Democrats intend to delay the lawsuit as long as possible on Wednesday.

“One last time, we were able to delay bills for more than 30 hours. So we would do the same thing from a program perspective, doing everything we could delay this issue,” Frost said.

Meanwhile, earlier, there were delays on whether weather delays in Washington would delay the planned vote on Capitol Hill.

“We are closely monitoring the weather,” Johnson told reporters. “There are a lot of delays right now.”
