Donald Trump announced on Saturday that the U.S. has completed strikes at three nuclear sites in Iran, directly joining Israel’s efforts to destroy the country’s nuclear program at risk to undermine Tehran’s long-term enemy to the threat of retaliation that could trigger wider regional conflict.
“We have completed a very successful attack on three nuclear sites Iran“Including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan, including Iranian space. All effective bombs were discarded on the main site of Fordow. All aircraft were safely on the way home.”
Congratulations to our great American warriors. There is no other army in the world that can do this. Now is the time for peace! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added.
The White House reminded the TV network that Trump will speak at 10 p.m. ET.
The decision to directly participate in the U.S. has systematically eliminated the country’s air defense and offensive missile capabilities, while damaging its nuclear-rich facilities after more than a week of Israel’s strike against Iran.
U.S. stealth bombers, along with the 30,000-pound Bunkerga bomb bomb that a person can carry, are buried underground in Forto for the best chance to destroy heavy sites connected to the Iranian nuclear program.
Earlier on Saturday, Reuters Report The B-2 bomber is moving to the Pacific Island of Guam, two U.S. officials said. The bombers were involved in strikes at Iran’s nuclear site, a U.S. official told Reuters on condition of anonymity.
Israel launched an attack on Iran, which he said it wanted to eliminate any opportunity for Tehran to develop nuclear weapons.
Iran argues that its nuclear program is intended for peaceful purposes.
The strike was a dangerous decision for the United States as Iran promised to join the Israeli attack, while Trump won the White House in person, who had promised to keep the United States away from expensive foreign conflicts and ridiculed the value of American interventionism.
Trump told reporters on Friday that he was not interested in sending ground troops to Iran. He had previously said that in two weeks he would make the final choice, a timeline that appears to be raised as the situation develops rapidly.
Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned on Wednesday that the strike against the Islamic Republic would “do irreparable damage to them.”
“Any U.S. intervention is the secret to a total war in the region,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei declared.
