Actress Aubrey Plaza said life was a “daily struggle” and that estranged husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, took her own life.
The writer, director and producer died in January at the age of 47.
Square spoke about the consequences for the first time in an interview with her former Parks and Entertainment co-star Amy Poehler.
When asked about her feelings, the square said “I think I’m fine” before comparing the sadness to a “huge and terrible ocean.”
“Sometimes I just want to dig into it, like in it,” she said. “So sometimes I just look at it, sometimes I try to get rid of it. But, it’s always there.”
Plaza and Baena married in 2021 after filming the filmmaking in 2014 and the 2017 historical comedy The Little The Little The Little The Little The Little The Little The Little The Little The Little The Light.
He was found dead at his home in Los Angeles in early January.
During their interview on the Good Hang podcast, Poehler asked Plaza how she was.
She replied, “I’m so happy to be with you when this is very, very important.”
“Overall, I’m here, I’m operating. I’m really happy to be moving around the world. I think I’m OK, but it’s obviously like a daily struggle.”
The 41-year-old American actress continues to talk about the 2025 film Canyon to describe her sadness.
The film stars Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy, two snipers guarding the opposite sides of the mysterious deep crack.
“It’s a very stupid analogy, at some point it’s a joke, but I’m actually saying. Did you see that movie “Canyon”?” said the Square.
“In the movie, there is a cliff on one side and a cliff on the other, and then somewhere in between, there is a canyon filled with people of all these monsters.
“When I looked at it, I swear, like what my sadness is, or sad.
The couple separated in September 2024, according to a Los Angeles County coroner investigator.
Plaza also starred in TV’s “White Lotus” and “Marvel” series Agatha and is committed to promoting her new movie “Dear Don’t”!
Baena is known for films like the 2004 I Heart Huckabees, as well as writing and directing 2016 Joshy, 2017 Hours and 2020s Horseback Girls.
