Not everyone is eager to welcome New York City Democratic mayor nomineeZohran Mamdani traveled to Staten Island Wednesday afternoon.

“Back to where you’re from. We don’t want you to be on Staten Island,” a protester wearing a “Trump Girl” T-shirt shouted at the 33-year-old self-proclaimed socialist with the American flag when he left the back door of the real Mediterranean restaurant in the Bay of Istanbul.

At the event, protesters outside the restaurant flooded the introductory speech with cowbells, Sirens and Megaphones as Mamdani started his third anti-Trump event this week.

Despite the heat outside the crowded restaurant and his critics, Mamdani kept smiling throughout the event and told reporters: “It hurts me to hear that I was told to go back to the language where I came from, but, it is not surprising because it is so much characteristic of President Trump’s politics.”

Banks reached a deal with other protesters outside the restaurant, telling Fox News that “others” could be Sliwa’s mayor.

“He’s a real New Yorker. He’s been fighting for New York all his life. Give him a chance to get there,” Banks said.

Another protester, Leeds, yelled: “Mamdani is a good guy!” The Democratic candidate left his SUV.

Liz said she didn’t like Mandanny because “he was not a Democrat, he was a Communist.”

She said Mamdani tried to attract New Yorkers through campaign promises such as free parenting, free bus fares and a government-run grocery store, but Leeds said it would be a “disaster” if he became mayor.

Staten Islanders spoke with Fox News Digital on Wednesday outside of Mamdani’s anti-Trump campaign, appearing to agree with the views, calling him “Commie” and criticizing his socialist policies, including freezing rents, raising corporate taxes and raising minimum wages.

But Shahana Masum put a sticker on his wallet “Zohran from Staten Island” and attended the event, telling Fox News Digital that Mamdani is the person representing “Me and My Community.”
