Actress Gina Carano filed lawsuits against Disney and Lucasfilm after she fired Mandalorian from the Star Wars franchise.

She was distinguished from the 2021 actor after comparing her comments about becoming a Jew during the Holocaust in a 2021 review.

Ms. Carano, a former MMA fighter who played Cara Dune in the Disney+ series, shared the settlement news on X, saying “I hope this brings some recovery to the force.”

The agreement has not been made public, after her case received support and funding from Elon Musk.

Ms. Carano described the settlement as “the best result for all parties” and added that she was “happy to flip through the page and move to the next chapter”.

She also thanked Musk, saying she had never met the tech billionaire, but he stepped in to “the covenant of the Good Samaritans who funded my lawsuit.”

“Yes, I’m smiling,” she signed.

The actress was initially prosecuted for false termination and sexual discrimination, claiming that two of her male co-stars had published similar posts without punishment.

She had sought $75,000 (£60,000) of losses and was re-estimated in the popular series.

Lucasfilm condemned her comments in 2021 because she “deprecating people based on their cultural and religious identities.”

In a statement since the settlement, the production company said it was looking forward to “determining opportunities for joint efforts.”

The company described Ms. Carano as “always respected by directors, co-stars and staff.

Ms. Carano, a former hybrid martial arts fighter who has ruled mask-wearing policies during the Alliance pandemic in the past and made false claims about voter fraud in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, lost to Joe Biden.
