At least three people died and one person was missing after heavy rain and flash floods held in Tennessee on Tuesday.

The Hamilton County Emergency Management Office and the Department of Homeland Security told the BBC that two adults and a child were killed when a tree collapsed on the car early Wednesday morning.

The office said one person was still missing after first responders saw him being swept away by the flood. The emergency responder is still looking for him, unsure if he can swim.

Flash flood warnings are still in effect in many parts of Tennessee, including Knoxville.
