Several democracies are reviewing their own congressional maps amid the return of Texas reallocation efforts.
Specifically, many states have high turnout for President Donald Trump in 2024, but Republicans have few congressional representatives.
For example, Trump won nearly 46% of the vote New Mexicobut none of the three seats in the state have a Republican ownership. Currently, the Chef Parties voting index is even a second Congressional district, a region considered highly competitive. Despite concerns about the New Mexico Supreme Court, the current map is reserved after the New Mexico Supreme Court ruling.

Connecticut voted nearly 42% of the president, but no seats the Republicans won in 2024. Illinois is considered one of the most discerning countries, with Republicans currently having only three of 17 seats, a 26% advantage for Democrats. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, who backed the Texas Democrats leaving the state to thwart efforts to re-join the chapter vote, faces inquiry from late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert.

California saw Trump win 38% of the vote, but only nine out of 52 seats in Congress, or 17%. This is considered a 21% democratic advantage as the state believes that five Democratic seats are added to offset Texas seats and plans to hold a special election approved by voters in November.
“We are talking about emergency measures to deal with what’s going on in Texas, and we will be ineffective at what’s going on in Texas,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom said in a press conference last week.
New York has a 13% Democratic lead in the seat, with seven of 26 Republican delegates currently, and Trump has won 43% of the state’s vote. Oregon has a 24% Democratic lead, while Trump Wing has 41% of the vote.
New Jersey saw Trump with 46% of the vote, but the state has only three Republicans out of 12 congressional seats, and although 34% of the votes voted for the president, Maryland has only one Republican representative, giving the state a 22% democratic advantage, with a total of eight districts.
