The White House unplugged Minister of Defense Pete Hegseth used a polygraph test to remove leakers, a report said.
According to The Washington Post, Patrick Weaver, the current adviser for Heggs, reminded senior administration officials that he would soon have to submit a polygraph test. This prompted calls on Heggs to put down the lie detector test.

Weaver previously served on the White House National Security Council and Department Homeland Security During President Donald Trump’s first administration, offensive measures.

The investigation into identifying the Department of Defense leakers began in late March, when it was a memo by Hegseth’s chief of staff, Joe Kasper.
“Recent unauthorized national security disclosures involve sensitive communication with clientele within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, requiring immediate and thorough investigation,” Casper wrote in a March 21 memorandum.

“In carrying out this investigation, the use of a polygraph will comply with applicable laws and policies,” Casper added.
The White House and the Pentagon did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Revelation is the latest controversy in the Pentagon, which suffered a scandal of “signal gate” earlier this year. Despite discussions on military action between Heggs and a group of senior Trump officials were held on the crypto app.
