House Budget Chairman sees big bills as the beginning of spending reform

House Budget Committee Chairman Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) for passing Big beautiful bill. But, MPs say it is the beginning, not the end of spending reform.

“We will never be able to get a balanced budget and even put our country on the path of a balanced budget and a sustainable fiscal trajectory,” Arlington told Fox News. “We went too far, along bad roads and irresponsible fiscal behavior. We are too deep in debt loopholes to do that.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson called Arrington “the House’s leading budget eagle,” he said he was “obsessed with” deficit spending, which he saw as the biggest threat to the future of the United States. He believes that solving the situation of a country in an effective way means creating a “development economic situation.”

“So, promoting growth policies, tax cuts, job incentives, opening up our energy assets and giving up the energy economy, all of which will restart economic growth. This is the basis for the fiscal health of our nation and everything else: our military professionals, our global leadership, our global leadership, our way of life,” Arrington.

What is actually in Trump’s “Big Beauty Act”

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-ky and others argue that this has not done enough to cut government spending. Arlington said he respects Masi and Musk and other critics – but believes the risk of losing “good things” in the bill is too high. Finally, Texas lawmakers view trade-offs as “permanent growth tax policy” in exchange for additional spending legislation.

“I think there is a big gap between information and accurate information. Part of it is because the Congressional Budget Office has abandoned these big numbers… two to half or three trillion additional deficits that will increase to national debt within the 10-year budget of this bill, which is due to the effect it appears. You have the policy of growth.”

Trump signed the bill before the July 4 deadline, right? The house has passed the final version In the $3.3 trillion legislation.

So, what is the next step in the budget chair agenda? As he said to Fox News Digital, there is only one thing-or three things, “spend, cuts and cuts.”

“We’re not stuck overnight, we won’t get out of it overnight, but if we don’t start exercising political will to do what we all say in the campaign, we’ll never leave,” Arlington told Fox News. “I think we’ve built a great model for restoring fiscal health, and we just need to keep repeating it and doing it in a more dramatic way.”
