Sausage Party It’s often cited as a ridiculous example of adult animation, of course. But what isn’t talked enough about is that the film is a shockingly clever criticism of organized religion. The story follows Frank (Seth Rogen), a hot dog in a grocery store that has affectionate food.
All foods believe that when they are chosen by the “gods” (humans), they will be taken out of the “greatness beyond” – a paradise version of the grocery store. But when Frank and his friends began to realize that the greatness of transcendence might not be as heaven as they hoped, their entire lifestyle began to collapse. The film is surprisingly thought-provoking – at least before it turns into a huge food craze.
