White Sox Konerko receives gift from Pope Leo XIV to commemorate the 2005 title | Chicago White Sox

White Sox Great Paul Konerko from No. 14 to another gift to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 2005 World Series Championship – a signature jersey by famous Chicago fans Pope Leo 14.

Prevost competed in the 2005 World Series Opening, targeting Houston, Chicago. He watched White Sox beat Astros 5-3 5-3 on his way into four games, the first champion since 1917.

In May, the team announced a graphic installation near the seat, paying homage to Pope Leo. The pillar artwork features Leo Xiv wielding the pope, as well as photos of the future Pope TV broadcast with good friend Ed Schmit and his grandson Eddie.

Members of the 2005 team celebrated the 20th anniversary of the championship game in Chicago this weekend. The White Sox died last week in Portugal, in honor of his gastric cancer treatment. On Friday, the convoy unveiled a statue of former ace Mark Buehrle.
