Investigators said it appeared that the suspect in the murder of Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, a Conservative influencer at Utah Valley University, appeared to be “college-time.”

Officials said in a news conference that they had “good videos” of the Gunners, but had not been released yet. They said they followed the suspect’s movements when they jumped off the roof and fled the campus nearby after the shooting.

Kirk founded the turning point of the conservative youth political group America, where he was shot dead on the neck of the campus while talking to students.

Special Agent for the FBI Robert Bohls said they had found suspicious weapons in the wooded areas and “footwear impressions” near the attack site – a high-powered rifle.

He said they have no community at risk.

Utah Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason said the Gunners “seemed to be college days” and were integrated into the campus environment.

“We haven’t released many details right now,” Mason added. “We will soon. But now, we are not.”

Hours after the Orem shooting 40 miles (64 kilometers) south of Salt Lake City, people gathered near campus in the hope of retrieving vehicles and other items as they escape.

“It’s scary,” student Brock Anderson told the BBC. “It’s disturbing on campus right now.”

Kirk and his family’s close friend JD Vance is heading to Utah to pay tribute.

He and his wife Usha canceled their trip to New York City, where they initially planned to visit Zero Ground and attend a ceremony to commemorate the 9/11th anniversary.
