After the killing of conservative activists, vigils were held nationwide Charlie Kirk at an event in Utah Wednesday.
Kirk, 31, co-founder of Turning Point, U.S., was shot dead on the Utah campus on Wednesday afternoon. He was taken to a critical hospital in the hospital before being later pronounced dead.
Politicians, faith leaders, conservative activists and others mourn Kirk’s death, and some declared opposing political violence immediately after the murder.
The group’s founder was organized by the Turning Point USA campus chapter of universities across the country on Wednesday night.

“In response to Charlie Kirk’s reprehensible and meaningless murder, we gather at Westlake Park in Seattle at 7:30 p.m. tonight to pray, worship and loneliness against meaningless political and religious violence in America.
R-MT Rep. Ryan Zinke said a prayer vigil will be held on a church on Capitol Hill on Wednesday night.
He wrote on X: “I invite the Montana people to join us in prayer and spirit, pray for Charlie, his family and our divided country. We must heal.”
In Arizona, Catholic Catholics say a Rose vigil will be held Wednesday night.
“Charlie Kirk’s local Catholic community gathers to pray for the eternal soul,” the organization wrote on Instagram.

“Charlie is our friend,” the post added. “His family is our neighbor. He attended our church. We love him, and America loves him. It’s time for us to pray and ask our ladies to bring his soul into heaven.”

Charlie, we love you!”

California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, said on X that the attack on Kirk was “disgusting, evil and reprehensible”, adding: “In the United States of America, we must reject political violence in all forms.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on X: “Charlie Kirk was murdered for telling the truth and defending freedom.
“Congratulations to his family and the young people in this country. Many of our Auburn students are scared tonight, your young patriots like Charlie. Now let’s keep the morning fierce, keep our best life, and then live our best life to make this country better.”
Kirk is left behind his wife, Erika Lane Frantzve and two children.
