A Kentucky health professional calls for improved resources in hopes of expecting mothers in an investigation around the University of Kentucky competitive cheerleading Lake Snelling.
Snelling, 21, is Arrested on August 30 at home in Lexington, KentuckyIt is said that giving birth and hiding the baby in the closet. She was accused of abuse of the body, tampering with physical evidence and covering up the birth of the baby.

Kentucky has faced an almost complete abortion ban, in addition to potentially saving pregnant women’s lives since 2022 Roev. Wade has been overthrown by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Plather said when she heard about Snelling’s story, she “a little bit like everyone else knows it, like many others know it.”
In a case like Snelling’s, Prather urged pregnant women to use local health departments’ resources, including advice on raising children and connections to adoption resources.
“You can have a nurse who is trained in family planning, women’s health, and they will know based on gestational age, what your resources are,” Prather explained. “Unfortunately, now, I think we may have to step down for some of these, and I’m not saying that this is anything we promote or don’t promote.”
She continued: “We just list the facts, it’s the choice to have them ask us any questions and answer any questions they have in a safe, supportive environment. There is no judgment here.”
Authorities were summoned at their home in Lexington on August 27 after reporting the unresponsive baby.
The arrest citation says, “The baby is wrapped in a towel in a black garbage bag.”
Snelling “accepts to giving birth” and “covered birth by cleaning any evidence, putting all cleaning items in black garbage bags, including babies wrapped in towels.”
The cheerleaders spent three seasons on the University of Kentucky stunt team and he pleaded not guilty to all charges. She is no longer a student of the school or stunt team, this is the school’s spokesperson confirm US Weekly On Friday, September 5th.
Snelling released a $100,000 margin and now lives with her Tennessee parents on “home imprisonment without ankle monitor.”
A spokesperson for the Lexington Police Department told us on Monday, September 8 The death investigation is still “ongoing.”
