President Donald Trump is still paying author E Jean Carroll $83.3 million after he dismissed his challenge to his slander verdict on Monday.

The ruling of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit insists on the ruling of the lower court, found Trump did it, In fact, it destroyed Carol. Trump’s lawyer argued that his comments on Carroll were protected by presidential immunity and that the verdict in the case was unfair. The panel of three judges rejected both claims.

“We concluded that Trump failed to determine any reason to reconsider our previous immunity to the president. We also concluded that the District Court did not make any mistakes in any challenged rulings and that the jury’s compensation ruling was fair and reasonable.”

“In this case, the record of the determination to support the District Court is very high, perhaps unprecedented, to the extent that Mr. Trump’s actions are,” the court added.
