Todd and Julie, 52, 52, were granted President Trump’s pardon in May after convicting 12 counts of tax evasion, banking and wire fraud and conspiracy in 2022. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison and Julie was sentenced to seven years. (The Chrisleys have always maintained their innocence.)
In the family’s latest interview, Savannah insists that Chrisleys knows that her parents’ “only way out” was Trump’s presidential election last November.
“On a personal level, we watched the election together, [my brother Grayson, 19] “When we watched and saw the president win, we both started crying and he just grabbed me and hugged me because we knew that was our only way out, so they both started crying.”
Todd then said, “We want to thank God… God touched President Trump’s heart. God led the people to defend us. So I am grateful because every night I pray that God will return me to my wife and my children. He did it, so I am grateful.”
Chrisleys revealed that after Todd was released from prison, he briefly thanked President Trump in person through FaceTime.

Todd admitted that he didn’t really believe it when the prison guard told him he was awarded wide by the president.

Elsewhere in the interview, Todd admitted that he was very aware of his post-prison experience with Julie and What has most prisoners experienced.
“We walked out of prison,” Todd said. “We walked into the home and started shooting immediately and ordered a new car, we were looking for a house, we were doing everything we needed to do.”
He continued: “But none of these men and women did that. When they came out, they had no home to go. They had no money to buy food.”
It was announced in May that Chrisleys has begun filming a new lifelong documentary series about Todd and Julie’s post-prison life. ((Untitled Chrisley Project No official release window has been received for a lifetime. )
“Chrisley doesn’t know best anymore,” Lifetime laughed. “But they are doing their best.”
