House investigators plan to grill former FBI director Robert Mueller’s plan is in trouble.
House Oversight Committee is scheduled to show Mueller before the panel on Tuesday as part of a housing investigation Jeffrey Epstein. But a source familiar with the investigation told Fox News numbers that lawmakers “learned Mr. Mueller’s health problems prevent him from testifying.”
“The committee intends to withdraw its subpoena,” the source said.
Mueller is one of many famous figures, including the Clintons, who oversees the Chairman of the Committee James Comer R-ky.
He was originally the second witness on the House Oversight Committee, behind former Attorney General Bill Barr did so last month.
His closed deposition is expected to see at least some legislators on both sides participate, and so far the investigation has gained bipartisan support in an otherwise highly divided era of Congress.
Mueller recently made headlines as he acted as special counsel to investigate whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election in support of the president Donald Trump.

The investigation did not find any misconduct by Trump himself, with 34 people being prosecuted, eight convicted or guilty pleas — including several people connected with the president.
House investigators are expected to sneak into Mueller’s time as director of the FBI. From September 2001 to September 2013, he led the innings of former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
It was in that window that the federal government first investigated Epstein, and Comer pointed out the matter in his subpoena of letters.

“When you were FBI Director, the FBI investigated Mr. Epstein, which led to an assistant U.S. attorney in southern Florida preparing to prosecute Mr. Epstein in 2007,” Comer wrote.
“However, the following year, Mr. Epstein pledged in Florida court for two counts of prostitution, and in exchange, he and his accomplices obtained immunity to federal prosecution through a non-approval agreement.”
