Rory McIlroy It’s part of one of the most lively movies in the summer Happy Gilmore 2but golf professionals have not watched the movie yet.
“I haven’t even watched a movie yet because I don’t want to see myself trying to take action,” 36-year-old Kate Mackz’s running interview performance Thursday, August 21. “I’m going to try to watch it this week, but it’s an amazing experience.”
McIlroy except for praise Adam SandlerHe wrote, produced and starred in the 1996 film sequel.
“Adam Sandler is the best, he’s such a good guy,” McIlroy continued. “He makes us feel very comfortable, but I’m not going to give up on my daily routine anytime soon. …I think it’s a great thing, whether it’s Sandler or in the show, or whether you appreciate other athletes, whether it’s their game, you can do the best things they do, whether it’s their game, they can spend a little time with them.”
McIlroy won the 2025 Masters and completed a professional grand slam, 58-year-old Sandler yelled.
“To Goooo Grand Slammmer!!! We all love your buddy,” Sandler wrote in a post shared in April via X.
McIlroy is excited actor Happy Gilmore 2has been a fan of the original movie for a long time.
“Happy Gilmore It’s the golf movie I grew up with,” the athlete said in a May appearance Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. “I can recite almost every line. So it’s awesome that I have the chance to do it.”
McIlroy praised Sandler for wearing many hats while filming sports comedy.
“I think Happy Gilmore 2 It’s like a loved one to him,” he reflects. He’s making, he’s directing, he’s performing. He’s trying to guide us by what he does. It’s a full-time job for him, but he’s a real career.”
In the movie, McIlroy plays a fictional version of the Bank of America Championship. Later, he joined Happy (Sandler) to compete with the Maxi Golf League.
