Courts require Trump officials to keep encrypted signal information

The judge said the left-leaning regulator U.S. supervisors, who brought the lawsuit, raised a powerful case in which cabinet officials use signals, an encrypted messaging application, to communicate for work purposes, and that they allow the messages to be automatically deleted and could leave them permanently lost.

The Trump administration denied misconduct and insisted that there was no “categorization” of exchanges. Bundy escaped a problem at a press conference to investigate the incident, instead doubled the White House’s claim that chats were just “sensitive” rather than “categorized.”
