“I’m really sorry for telling everyone the bad news, but pimmunkx (kingbeardx) passed away yesterday,” Update shared on Tuesday, August 19 via GoFundMe page Organized by Crawley’s friend and former podcast host Anthony Caruso. “Thank you to everyone who has supported the fundraiser so far. His mother told me to thank everyone.”
Caruso created the page on August 5 to help Crawley and his mom spend when they are in the hospital. Crowley has no health insurance and is his family’s “mainly breadwinner”.
The fundraiser will now pay for the funeral and provide financial assistance to John’s mother in grief.
According to the initial description of GoFundMe Page, Crawley was taken to the ICU at a local hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi. His family said Crowley was having difficulty breathing.
“He went to the hospital; he had difficulty breathing. The doctor put him on the ventilator…we were over 66% (O2 levels) and he stopped breathing,” the post read. “They (put him into the ICU and restored it to 100% (O2 level). He just put a tube… His breathing condition is still very bad.”
Caruso provided the latest news on Sunday, August 17, sharing his conversation with Crawley’s mother, and the family was hopeful about the situation of the social media star at the time.
“He can’t speak, but he’s awake and responsive, which is a good sign, but he still has lung/breathing problems,” Caruso wrote.
