Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson took revenge by defeating Olympic champion Noah Lyles at the Silesian Diamond League conference on Saturday.

This is the first time that sprinters have met since Lyles won the Olympic gold medal in Paris a year ago, just one-fifth ahead of Jamaica.

Thompson won the 9.87 seconds with a quick start win, and Lyles finished second in 9.90 seconds. Another American, Kenny Bednarek, listed the podium as a podium in 9.96.

This is a developing story.
