As President Donald Trump Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted on the apron of the joint base Elmendorf-Richardson, and the B-2 Stealth Bomber soared overhead, flanked by four F-35 jets.
Putin looked up at the sky as the plane walked with Trump and commented to the U.S. president.
The display is a symbol, both a symbol of force, and a reminder of the U.S. military coverage the moment the two leaders are ready to discuss the future of global security.
The dramatic arrival emphasizes Alaska SummitThe first face-to-face meeting between Trump and Putin has been with the first face-to-face meeting since Trump returned to the White House earlier this year. From Admiration to Alaska: Trump and Putin’s high-risk timeline
At the moment, Anchorage and the entire social media onlookers quickly caught it. Many call it “crazy flexibility”, pointing to the recent combat history of the B-2 bomber.

With a distance of more than 6,000 nautical miles and a traditional and nuclear-weapon capability, the B-2 is a key component of the U.S. Nuclear Triad. Only 21 were built and less than 20 were still in service, making any public appearance a rare and intentional statement.
“Absolutely incredible,” one X user wrote. Another added: “Putin now knows that if he was going to cross that line that should never be crossed, he would say hello to him.”

The two leaders went to the base’s security conference hall and the discussion began around 3:30 pm Eastern Time. Trump said he plans to “set up a table” during the meeting to attend future summits, including Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
