Thousands of New York City police officers gathered to mourn the death of New York Police Department police officer Didal Islam, one of four people killed in a shooting in an office building in New York City on Monday.
Islam, 36, was shot dead while offering the location on Park Avenue in Manhattan.
Officials said he has moved to the United States from Bangladesh, with two children and is looking forward to a third of his pregnant wife. They said he died of a “hero”.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Eric Adams were also at the funeral.
