In the summer, TV viewing can be a bit slow, especially for drama lovers – many networks and streamers don’t launch their large, prestigious shows until the fall.
This makes August the best time to catch up with the series you might miss – Station 11Some of us are Watch with us The team skipped when it debuted in 2021. (The show was a pandemic, and at the time, it was too close to home.)
But we highly recommend watching this limited series HBO Max August 2025 – That’s why.
It depicts a post-apocalyptic world that feels real

HBOStation 11 Progress in two schedules – in the flu-like pandemic and 20 years later. The virus is similar to Covid-19, causing cold and flu-like symptoms and spreads rapidly – but unlike what we all experience, there are no mild strains. By the time the narrative is played 20 years later, the only people who are alive are those with natural immunity.
The program is based on the 2014 novel Emily St. John Mandelit seems to predict the elements of Covid-19. Although the real world losses are devastating, Station 11 Imagine it will get worse – not resorting to the zombie virus drama. Our last one. It’s realistic, not science fiction – that’s what makes it so horrible. Watching it may make you different about how society is going through the pandemic.
This is a story about the importance of storytelling

Mackenzie Davis
HBOThe protagonist Kirsten Raymonde (Mackenzie Davis), is a child actress who appears in her work King Lear On the first day of the pandemic with famous actor Arthur Leander (Gael García Bernal). Leander died of a heart attack – ironically nothing to do with the virus that broke out that night. The combination of these two events has changed Kirsten’s life forever. (The young version of Kirsten by Matilda Lawler. How survivors and people born after the pandemic respond to these performances show an important story.
There is another story about binding characters: a graphic novel called Station 11awarded by Kirsten before Arthur’s death. Her knowledge of it and its creators became the key to her survival.
“Eleven” is one of the best “double schedule” programs ever

Station 11 Process flashbacks and time jump seamlessly, moving between the onset of a pandemic, twenty-year schedules, and glimpses of life before the outbreak. This extra background makes the story more influential – especially for Jeevan (Himesh Patelnominated for Emmy Award for his performance) King Lear When the world collapses, who ends up caring for the young Kirsten.
Flashbacks also deepen the arc of Miranda Carroll (Danielle Deadwylerone of our favorite actresses), Arthur’s first wife and Elizabeth (Caitlin Fitzgerald), his second one. These relationships are easily lost in the jumps of time, but excellent performance and keen production design keep the story’s crystal clear. Thanks to its equally powerful storyline for decades, Station 11 Shows how our own story changes the world.
