“I believe I beat the MP,” Cuomo says In a recent interview with Bloomberg News, he pointed out Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist State Councilor from Queens, who shocked the political world in June and joined Cuomo and nine other candidates in the Democratic primary.
But Cuomo, the former three-time governor who resigned amid multiple scandals, said it was necessary to successfully “beat” the current five candidates in the country’s most mayoral field in order to defeat Mamdani.

Almost all polls in the New York City mayoral campaign show that Mandani maintained a healthy double-leading lead over Cuomo and other competitors in the November election.
In the recent survey, Mamdani received 37% support in a small sample Siena Institute poll conducted from August 4 to 7, and Cuomo was 23%.

The Guardian Angels co-founder Curtis Sliwa is a Republican mayor nominee for the second straight election, and he has 12% support and 12% support Mayor Eric Adams, The embattled incumbent announced earlier this year that he would seek re-election as an independent candidate at 7%.

The election vote was also Jim Walden, a former federal prosecutor who ran for independence.
Walden proposed earlier this summer that an independent investigation will be conducted in September to determine which candidate will beat Mamdani’s best shot, while the others agreed to quit.

Although Cuomo partially accepted the proposal, it said Adams and Sliwa have not signed it if Adams leads him in the pre-election investigation.

“The people who run are harmful to our city and the progress we have made. I owe New Yorkers to get my story to spread to them and run a campaign,” Adams said in an interview with politicians this week.
Sliwa, Fox Business The interview on Wednesday dismissed the “that everyone quits” and argued that “if we debate these issues, we will weaken Zohran Mamdani.”
Mamdani swept the main victory, thanks to a dynamic sport that focuses primarily on affordability and the high cost of living in New York City. This is supported by supporters of grassroots military and the highest national progress champion, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Bernie Sanders of New York and Vermont.

Mamdani has cleverly used social media platforms including Tiktok, along with low-key voters. He proposed to eliminate fares to ride New York City’s vast bus system, make CUNY (University of New York City) “no tuition fees”, freeze rent on municipal houses, provide “free parenting” for children under the age of 5, and establish a government-run grocery store.

Mamdani, who enjoys a lead in polls, is now training for the Democratic-led Boogeyman, the largest in New York City – President Donald Trump.

The candidate will be on a “Five boroughs against Trump” tour in New York City this week.
“My administration will be Donald Trump’s worst nightmare,” Mandani announced last week.
