“Everyone in the United States wants to know what happened in Epstein Island, and we’ve all heard reports that Bill Clinton is a frequent visitor there, so he’s the main suspect on the House Oversight Committee,” Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, said in an interview with Newsmax on Monday.

Democrats join Republicans to vote and continue issuing subpoenas. The committee asked Hillary Clinton to be held on October 9 and Bill Clinton on October 14.
“So, hopefully we will win the court battle with that subpoena and see President Clinton in October,” Comer told Newsmax.

But this is inconsistent with the efforts of the Oversight Committee, which also issued a subpoena for all Justice documents related to Epstein. The committee also issued a subpoena to former FBI directors James Comeyformer lawyers Eric Holder, Jeff Sessions and Merrick Garland, among others.
Fox News Digital previously reported that the deadline facing the Justice Department is to submit documents related to Epstein.

While Comer acknowledged that it was actually a challenge for him to have the former president testify before Congress given his track record, he remained optimistic about the odds.
“I never lost a subpoena,” Comer said Monday. “I served as chairman of the committee for a year and a half – it was the most challenging subpoena I have issued, but what sets this subpoena apart is the Democrats voting in a Republican way.”
