Former New York Governor David Paterson says he will recognize the current mayor of New York City Eric Adams Re-election.
“On the steps of the town hall, I will recognize Eric Adams for re-election in one phase,” the Democrat said in his speech Tuesday.Cats and Cosby“Radio show.
Adams, a Democrat who took office in 2022 Famous Earlier this year, although he remains a Democrat, he will skip the Democratic mayoral primary and serve as an independent candidate in the general election.

New York State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani June won the democratic mayoral primary election.
Mamdani wrote on his X account: “Run to freeze rent, fast freedom + free buses and universal child care.”

The previous one New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo finished second in the second place in Mamdani at Democratic Mayor’s Elementary School in New York City, choosing to continue in the position despite decisive failure.

Speaking on Tuesday’s radio show, Paterson explained that he wanted to agree with Adams last year, but he supported his “second choice” Cuomo in light of issues such as Adams’ prosecution.
The case against Adams had been dismissed before Paterson supported Cuomo.
