People firing hundreds of bullets at CDC headquarters angry at Covid vaccine

Investigators said a person who fired hundreds of rounds of ammunition at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) headquarters expressed distrust of the COVID-19-19 vaccine.

Officer David Rose, 33, graduated from police academy in March and died in the hospital after being injured. No civilians Injured in a shooting in Atlanta, Georgia on August 8.

Authorities say he was shot dead by 30-year-old Patrick Joseph White, who died of “a gunshot wound to self-fire.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) tracks outbreaks in the United States and touts vaccinations during the pandemic – a position that has been severely criticized by vaccine skeptics.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey said in a speech to reporters Tuesday that 500 Shell casings were found from the scene, while its 200 rounds hit six buildings in the CDC complex. He said five guns were recovered.

Hosey said the gunman also “verbally suicide” before the shooting. He reportedly accused the vaccine of frustrating and suicide.

DeKalb County Police Officer David Rose made a fatal shooting shortly before 17:00 Friday, when reports of an active shooter in the CDC area were reported. Rose is a former Marine who served in Afghanistan and died in the hospital after being injured.

Hosey said no employees or civilians were injured and the rounds of police firing did not attack the gunman.

FBI Special Agent Paul Brown said the Federal SWAT cleared the CDC campus after the shooting to ensure no victims were inside. The nearby daycare was evacuated, where the children were safely reunited with their families.

Authorities say the shooter broke into his safe in his home to obtain a gun. The weapons belonged to his father and were protected, but White was able to add his way to the safe. Hosey said the Gunners’ family has fully cooperated with their investigation.

On Monday, Robert F Kennedy Jr, secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), visited the Atlanta campus of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and privately met with the deceased.

HHS said on Monday that Kennedy expressed his deepest condolences and “reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to respecting the courage, sacrifice and service of the Ross officers to the country.”

“We are very saddened by the tragic shootings on the Atlanta campus of CDC Write Friday on X. “We stand with his wife, three children and the entire CDC family.”
