Investigators said a person who fired hundreds of rounds of ammunition at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) headquarters expressed distrust of the COVID-19-19 vaccine.

FBI Special Agent Paul Brown said the Federal SWAT cleared the CDC campus after the shooting to ensure no victims were inside. The nearby daycare was evacuated, where the children were safely reunited with their families.

Authorities say the shooter broke into his safe in his home to obtain a gun. The weapons belonged to his father and were protected, but White was able to add his way to the safe. Hosey said the Gunners’ family has fully cooperated with their investigation.

On Monday, Robert F Kennedy Jr, secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), visited the Atlanta campus of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and privately met with the deceased.

HHS said on Monday that Kennedy expressed his deepest condolences and “reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to respecting the courage, sacrifice and service of the Ross officers to the country.”

“We are very saddened by the tragic shootings on the Atlanta campus of CDC Write Friday on X. “We stand with his wife, three children and the entire CDC family.”
