Attendees on Saturday Military Parade In the capital of the United States, from all corners of the United States, Fox News digital numbers talk to some of them to hear why they travel from close range to attend a unique event.
Some attendees were locals, while others drove hundreds of miles to watch events commemorating the army’s 250th birthday. Saturday is also Flag Day, and it is celebrated every year to commemorate the American flag of 1777, the President Donald Trump’s Birthday.

Participants from around the country who spoke with Fox News Digital said they were there to honor our troops, but many said they were there to support Trump, too.

Another attendee who traveled from northern Kentucky said: “We are very patriotic and I think it’s important to come here, watch it, enjoy it.” They added: “It’s Trump’s birthday, and it’s also good.”
