He was reportedly wearing a surgical mask and equipped with two pistols, a rifle and a gun, and he carried two backpacks with ammunition, CNN reports.
Susan Monarez, director of the CDC, confirmed that at least four buildings in the shooting began to be attacked before 5 p.m. Friday.
“The active shooting incidents near our campus today have brought fear, anger and concern to all of us,” Monares said in a letter to CDC staff. “I want to express my deep gratitude for your professionalism and resilience during this time.”

DeKalb County Interim Police Chief Greg Padrick said Ross was “committed to serving the community” and asked for prayers for “his family, his friends, his loved ones and families throughout the DeKalb County Police Department.”
FBI director Kash Patel said Rose was the hero who “made the ultimate sacrifice.”
“Pray for the hero’s family, friends and colleagues who act quickly to defend others and make the ultimate sacrifice.” Patel said in a post on X.
Dickens said the so-called Sagittarius “is a well-known person who may have some interest in certain things until the investigation is fully carried out, anything I can’t reiterate now.”
