“The Biden State Department has held a blowout summer pool party on your dime,” R-Iowa Ernst said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“The bureaucrats may think wasting millions is a drop in the barrel, but I’m tired of taxpayers being thrown away in the depths of Washington,” Ernst added. “I will continue to work with the Trump administration to stop the Biden year’s splash spending.”

Some of the contracts detailed in the report have not been fully paid, such as the $173,000 reward for working in a swimming pool in Indonesia at the Jakarta Embassy.

The U.S. Embassy is mainly funded by granting congressional funds to the U.S. State Department.
Ernst’s report comes months after the Government’s Department of Efficiency reported that it has saved billions of dollars in search of corruption, overspending and mismanagement in an ongoing investigation of various federal agencies.
