The U.S. president said on Wednesday that Vladimir Putin would face “very serious consequences” if he disagrees with a ceasefire in Ukraine at the summit in Ukraine with Donald Trump in Alaska. Speaking after a call with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other European leaders, including Keir Starmer of the UK, he also suggested that if his meeting with Putin was good, he would push for a second summit – this time including his Ukrainian rival.
