Refuting the rumours of his engagement with Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda has said that he is neither getting engaged, nor getting married anytime soon.
Telugu stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s engagement rumours have been spreading again and this time, the rumours even suggest that the couple might be planning to tie the knot in February. Vijay has now spoken about the rumours and denied them completely.
“I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married,” Vijay told Lifestyle Asia.
The rumoured couple apparently fell in love a few years ago after starring in Geetha Govindam in 2018. They later worked together in Dear Comrade in 2019. The two have not opened up about their relationship yet but have been spotted together on several occasions. The two reportedly also took a beach holiday in the Maldives last year and were recently spotted holidaying in Vietnam.
There have been reports suggesting that the couple now lives together and could possibly make their relationship official soon.
On the work front, Rashmika is basking in the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal with Ranbir Kapoor. She’ll next be seen in the highly anticipated second installment of Pushpa: The Rise, Pushpa 2: The Rule with Allu Arjun. Vijay, on the other hand was seen sharing the screen with Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Kushi. He’ll next be seen in Family Star and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s VD12.
