Man held for Killing Wife
New Delhi: A man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife on suspicion of having an extra-marital affair, police said Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Rabbani alias Sameer, 29, who hails from Bihar. Famida, the victim, was found murdered in her house in Welcome area of northeast Delhi, May 17.
The husband was absconding since the day of the crime and was traced to Mumbai, an officer said.
‘The accused came to know about his wife’s affair and had a quarrel with her. The accused killed his wife by smothering her with a pillow,’ the official said.
Rabbani has confessed to his crime, the police said.
