Fighter teaser: Siddharth Anand reunites with Hrithik Roshan after War and Deepika Padukone after their blockbuster Pathaan for the aerial actioner Fighter.

Patriotism is in the air and it’s flying at jet speed. The makers of Fighter on Friday dropped the teaser of their highly anticipated aerial actioner, which is headlined by Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor.

The more than a minute-long teaser takes the viewers to dizzying heights—quite cinematically—as it introduces the world of the film. There are jets flying, slow-mo entry shots, aviator glasses, thumping Vishal-Shekhar music, aerial stunts, perhaps a tragedy and definitely a victory. And of course, Hrithik in a whistle-worthy money shot with the Indian flag.

Fighter teaser reveals just enough of the world of the film and keeps most of the shots limited to the sequences featuring the three leads in uniform, a lot of nicely done aerial action and an impressive 3D, the format in which the media was shown the teaser on the big screen. The other bits of the visuals, which are merely glimpsed in quick cut shots, seem to follow the USP of Siddharth Anand— a lot of style and beauty.

While Hrithik Roshan features as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (call sign: Patty),  Deepika Padukone will be seen as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore Anil Kapoor, who is currently seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, will portray the role of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, known by his call sign Rocky.

Fighter reunites Siddharth and Hrithik after Bang Bang and War, which stands as the biggest hit of the actor’s career. The movie will also be the reunion of the filmmaker with Deepika, with whom he’s worked in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan.

Fighter is produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures. The film will release in theatres ahead of Republic Day next year, on January 25, 2024.
