New Delhi, Lucknow The preliminary forensic report on the six soil samples collected from the twin Bhatta-Parsaul villages on the directions of the local court have not indicate any occurrence of human bones, organs or remains.
UP Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh said that police had sent samples of ash heaps to the lab to know if it contained explosives. He said the report on the presence of explosives, if any, would be received within four days.
The samples, instead, reveal the presence of “molten synthetic” material and “cowdung ash”. The report was sent by Joint Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory, Agra, today to the local court in Gautam Budh Nagar
Government sources told The Indian Express that the preliminary report signed by the Joint Director of the laboratory, which comes under the UP home department, states that six samples, in bundles of two each, were sent by the Dankor police station in Gautam Budh Nagar for examination.
Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi had alleged that there was a 70-foot (diameter) pile of ash “with dead bodies inside.” He had also alleged that women were raped by the UP police.
Calling the allegation of rapes at Bhatta-Parsaul “unfortunate”, Singh said: “The CM wants to ask those persons who levelled such allegations if they would make such irresponsible statements regarding women in their families.”
