Secretary of State Marco Rubio is beating Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro On Sunday, South American countries held municipal elections to fill hundreds of mayoral positions and thousands of council seats.
The municipal competition was held a day before the first anniversary of the Venezuelan presidential election, which the U.S. and other international observers widely denounced as illegal. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has been escalating in recent days as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent accused foreign heads of state as the entity’s leader on Friday
“The United States remains firmly supportive of Venezuela’s support for the restoration of democratic order and justice in Venezuela for the restoration of democratic order and justice in Venezuela,” Rubio said in a statement on Sunday. “Maduro is not the president of Venezuela and his regime is not a legitimate government.”

“Maduro is the leader of the designated Nalco-terrorist organization Cartel de Los Soles, who is responsible for trafficking drugs to the United States and Europe,” Rubio continued. “Maduro, currently being prosecuted by our country, has undermined Venezuelan institutions to assist the cartel’s criminal Nalco trafficking program into the United States.”
The Justice Ministry accused Maduro and 14 other former and current Venezuelan officials of Narco in March 2020 – terrorism, corruption, drug trafficking and other criminal charges. Earlier this year, 10 days before President Donald Trump returned to his office, the State Department increased his reward from $15 million to $25 million to $15 million.

According to the Treasury Department, the cartel “supports Tren de Aragua’s purpose is to flood illegal narcotics as weapons to the United States.”
Bessent said on Friday that new actions “reveal the passage of the Maduro regime Terrorist organizations Just like Cartel de Los Soes. ”
