According to the Free Justice Center, McGee’s mother defended her son’s defense after the incident, including at a school board meeting, which led to alleged attempts to discredit her. The center claims two board members sent messages to county leaders and residents through their mother’s arrest records and encouraged people to post it on social media.

Neither the Davidson County school nor the district board responded to a request for comment from Fox News numbers.
