Political earthquake Shock the Democratic Party When Zohran Mamdani won the New York City primary last month, it has been sailing to Washington, D.C. as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y. , held the “Exchange and Organize Skillshare Breakfast” on Wednesday morning.

Ocasio-Cortez, the progressive champion and youngest woman elected to Congress, was an early supporter of Mamdani, a so-called democratic socialist at 33 years old who has not yet received significant recognition from the Democratic Party leader of New York.

Representatives from the Bronx and Queens campaigned against New York City’s Mamdani ahead of last month’s main victory, and on Wednesday, members of the “squad” welcomed Mamdani to the U.S. capital.

according to Flyer obtained by The Washington PostOcasio-Cortez and Mamdani will hold breakfast at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the National Democratic Club. Although the Democratic National Convention (DNC) address is the same as on Wednesday’s breakfast, the DNC does not organize events.

Ocasio-Cortez confirmed the breakfast meeting on Tuesday, telling reporters she longed for people to “face to face” and “hear him on what makes New York affordable” as labor workers, while embracing issues such as rent freezes, affordable child care and grocery prices.

Mamdani’s main victory reveals the Democrats’ gap as top leaders refuse to speak out

“I think a lot of people just need to know them before they are awarded. I hope this conversation can build the party together constructively and get together after our nominees,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Mamdani has not yet been endorsed by House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Sen. Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer.

“I’m happy to go to Washington, D.C. to talk to Congressman Jeffries, to Senator Schumer, to our party leaders,” Mandanney said Tuesday.

But while Mamdani is eager to meet Jeffries and Schumer in Washington, it has not been reported.

When Fox News asked Schumer if he met Mamdani in Washington on Wednesday, he said: “I talked to him last night and will meet in New York City.”

“I plan to meet Democratic candidates back to Brooklyn this weekend,” Jeffries told reporters on Monday.

last month, New York Democrats Congratulations to Mamdani on securing the Democratic nomination and confirming that they are in discussions with young socialists who will be the first Muslim mayor of New York City if elected in November.

Rep. Adriano Espaillat, DN.Y. endorsed Mamdani last week after supporting former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s primary election. Cuomo announced on Monday that he decided to continue his mayoral campaign as an independent person.

“We’ve gone beyond the main content, and the people of New York City have spoken,” Epsaillat said Thursday. “If every decision I made has a common denominator in terms of supporting someone since I started representing this area, it’s called the Democratic Party.”

Ocasio-Cortez agreed to “unity” when Democrats were “in concerted” when they spoke to reporters on Tuesday.

“Zohran Mamdani is a democratic candidate for New York City mayor and as a Democrat, I’m lagging behind our nominees,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

DN.Y. Rep. Tom Suozzi said he would not attend Ocasio-Cortez’s breakfast on Wednesday. Suozzi has become the voice rival of Mamdani’s campaign for the New York Democratic Party.

Rep. Moskowitz, D-Fla. Confirm that he plans to attend Wednesday’s breakfast. Although Moskowitz admits he has “broad disagreements” with Mamdani in policy, he says he wants to understand the successful digital campaign.

Meanwhile, back to the White House, Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked the president Donald Trump If he is invited to have breakfast.

“I really want to be,” Trump said. “I really like to go. I mean, I look forward to meeting them.”

But Trump added: “Look, he’s a communist. I don’t think our country is ready for a communist, but we’ll see. I don’t think race ends either.”

Trump added that he thinks Cuomo should continue to play because “he has a shot.”

“He is competing with the Communists. I think he will win,” Trump explained.

The Mamdani movement quickly grabbed Trump’s comments on Tuesday.

“We want to congratulate Andrew Cuomo on winning Donald Trump’s approval. Obviously, this victory is self-talking. The question now is whether Cuomo is openly accepting Trump’s support or continue to accept it privately,” Mamdani campaign spokesman Jeffrey Lerner said in a statement.

Republicans have been relentlessly trying to anchor Mamdani to Democrats across the country who are in the elections this year and next year.

Earlier this week Republican National Committee “Absolutely,” said Michael Whatley, chairman of the (RNC).

“I mean, this is the face of the New Democratic Party,” Whatley accused in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.

“Everyone who wants to lead the party wants to take it to the left. They are now leaving the American public with a pretty quick clip.”

The National Republican Congress Committee aims to protect the Republican razor majority in the House of Representatives in the mid-year next year, which has repeatedly linked Democrats to Mandani.

“Radical socialism Zohran Mamdani is not only the future of the Democratic Party, he is the Democratic Party. On the campaign, we make sure every voter knows that House Democrats share his left agenda. They may try to escape, but they have succumbed to their knees.”

Fox News’s Kelly Phares, Tyler Olson, Dan Scully, Ryan Schmelz, Sandy Ibrahim and Peter Doocy contributed to the report.
