U.S. President Donald Trump said Attorney General Pam Bondi should release “everything she thinks is credible” on sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as he faces rare opposition from supporters after seeking to draw a line under the case.
Bondi said last week that Bondi was slammed by some of Trump’s political bases, with no evidence that Epstein kept a “customer list” or ransomware powerful figures.
Over the weekend, Trump urged supporters not to “waste time and energy” in the controversy. But the president’s allies, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, called for “transparency.”
Epstein died in a U.S. prison in 2019 while awaiting federal trial.
But in the event that many of Trump once again make the Great American (MAGA) movement, in theory, were rejected the details of convicted pedophile crimes to protect influential figures or intelligence agencies.
On Tuesday, Trump praised his attorney general for handling the matter and said: “She handled it well and it will depend on her. She should release whatever she thinks is credible.”
When reporters asked the attorney general if he told Trump whether his name appeared in any record, he said: “No, no.”
Later on Tuesday, the president once again called for the release of “credible” information, but he questioned his lasting fascination with the Epstein case, calling it “dirty but boring.”
“Only real bad guys, including fake news, want to keep things like this,” Trump said.
Last week, he was frustrated at Epstein’s fixation at the Oval Office and urged everyone to move on.
But some of the president’s Republican allies have not given up on the issue.
Speaker Johnson said in an interview with American conservative commentator Benny Johnson on Tuesday that he trusted President Trump and his team and that the White House was biased against facts he didn’t know.
But he said Bundy “need to step up and explain to everyone.”
“We should put everything there and let people decide,” Johnson said in an interview.
“I fully support transparency about this issue,” Georgia State Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene told Benny Johnson in an interview Tuesday.
She praised Bondi for her job as attorney general, but said leaders and elected officials should keep their commitments to voters.
Getty ImagesAnother conservative Republican, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, said that if more Epstein files are not released, special counsel should be appointed to investigate the crimes of financiers.
Louisiana Senator John Kennedy said voters are expected to be more responsible.
“I think it’s completely understandable that the American people want to know who he is [Epstein] “The reasons for trafficking these women and why they weren’t prosecuted,” Kennedy told NBC News.
But other influential Republicans, including Senator John Thune and Congressman Jim Jordan, postponed President Trump on the matter.

“Epstein has nothing,” she told reporters. “I won’t talk about Epstein.”
She said last week’s Justice Department memorandum was released with the FBI, refusing to release any further archives of Epstein and confirming his death by “suicide” by suicide.
Bondi told Fox News in February that her spokesperson said last week that she actually refers to the overall document of the case, reviewing the list of Epstein clients at her desk.
According to the memorandum, the government’s findings were made after reviewing more than 300 GB of data.
On Tuesday, House Democratic lawmakers tried unsuccessfully to force a vote on publishing Epstein’s archives.
Republicans noted that the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden can also access the documents, but does not release them.
