Buckingham Palace said Donald Trump formally accepted the invitation from King Charles III to join him and Queen Camilla for his unprecedented second state visit.
The U.S. President will take the tour accompanied by his wife, First Lady Melania Trump – which will take place from September 17 to 19 – and will be held at Windsor Castle.
The state-owned visit site was chosen as the typical location of Buckingham Palace, and renovations continued.
Trump was chaired by Queen Elizabeth II, who visited the first Congress in his 2019 term.
Traditionally, a state visit was not provided to the second-year president, but was invited to have tea or lunch with the monarch.
A full event plan has not been announced, but like all such visits, it will include a full ceremonial welcome and state banquet at St. George’s Hall in Windsor Castle.
All senior members of the royal family will be involved, including the Prince of Wales and Princess of Wales who live in the castle.

Macron and his wife Brigitte also participated in the carriage parade through Windsor town.
Any visit from the U.S. president faces IT security challenges, and Trump’s plans are unlikely to include public-oriented events.
During the 2019 visit, there was no parade in the mall for security reasons, and Trump mostly flew between locations rather than traveling along roads.

It is unclear whether Trump has the opportunity to speak to lawmakers, who are often included in the orchestration of state visits.
The House of Commons will not sit in the party meeting season during Trump’s visit, but the House of Lords will attend.
In February, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer sent a letter from the king to Trump, inviting him to visit the White House.
When the two sat down at each other in the Oval Office, Trump said it was a “great honor” and added: “In Windsor, it’s really what it is.”
A few months after the King’s visit to Canada, the state-owned visit will open his parliament in honor of the official start of Mark Carney’s leadership of the Prime Minister.
Many Canadians made a two-day visit to Ottawa in May, a symbol of support for the country as Trump imposed tariffs on one of its largest trading partners and threatened to make it the 51st U.S. state.
The temptation to make a state visit to Trump could become a powerful tool for the British government to a zealous monarchy president.
“I am a friend of Charles and I have a lot of respect for King Charles and my family, William. We really respect this family,” he said in April.
The invitation came when Sir Kiel tried to influence Trump in the Ukrainian war and reduce tariffs on exports to the United States – two issues continued to dominate the so-called special relationship.
The U.S. president is expected to hold his new golf course opening in Aberdeenshire in Scotland later this month.
Initially, it was believed that the King and Trump would meet informally on this trip.
But it is understood that the date revolves around logistical challenges, and there will be no private meetings before his September visit.
