The President’s logo Donald Trump First lady Melania Trump’s week included a Friday landing in Kerrville, Texas, after massive floods in the area claimed more than 120 lives.
The president and the first lady will meet with local officials and first responders who are addressing flash floods and destruction that struck central Texas communities after the Guadalupe River soared more than 22 feet in just a few hours.
“I’ve never seen anything like this. It’s a bad thing,” Trump said at a roundtable with local officials and responders on Friday.
In addition to life in the flood, officials also reported that more than 160 people were missing and unreproached in Kerr County, Texas.

“So, all over the country, Americans’ hearts are broken,” Trump said. “We are filled with sadness and destruction. It’s a loss of life, and unfortunately, they are still looking for it.”
“My administration does everything we can to help Texas,” he said.
Those who died in the flood had at least 27 campers and counselors from Mystic Camp, a Christian summer camp that was established for girls nearly 100 years ago.
“They are there because they love God,” Trump said at the roundtable. “When we are saddened by this unimaginable tragedy, we feel comforted to know that God welcomes those beautiful girls into his knowledge of his comfortable weapons in heaven.”

Cabinet meeting
Trump held a cabinet meeting on Tuesday to discuss plans to visit the flood site in Texas.
“I’m going to go with the First Lady on Friday, and we’re going to travel,” Trump said. “And we don’t want to know in the way anyone does, because that’s what happened. The president is gone and everyone is focusing. I don’t want anyone to focus on us, but they have the potential to have it.”

Trump also addressed SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a third party’s new propaganda after signing what Trump calls “Big and Beautiful Act” on July 4. Musk opposes the measure because he is concerned that it will increase the deficit and raise the debt ceiling.
But Trump said he was not worried about any challenges Musk’s new “American Party” faced.
“I think it will help. It may help. Third parties have always been good for me,” Trump said at the cabinet meeting.

Trump also met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu On Monday and Tuesday – marking Netanyahu’s third visit to Washington in Trump’s second term. The visit comes as Trump seeks to secure a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

“I will tell you that we are approaching a deal,” Trump told reporters Wednesday. “I don’t know if it’s a secret, but it doesn’t matter to me – if we can get us where we want, we want to cease fire.”
“We want peace,” he said. “We want to get hostages back. I think we’re close to doing that.”
