Several killed in the flood in Texas, 20 children are missing

Several people died after bad weather and flooding in the central central U.S. and more people disappeared after flooding.

Authorities found six to 10 bodies, and Texas Lieutenant Dan Patrick confirmed that about 20 children were missing in the mysterious summer camp.

“In 45 minutes, the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet, a destructive flood – taking property and sadly life,” he said in a press conference on Friday.

He read a statement from the camp saying the flood had a “disastrous level” and told parents that their children would be explained if they were not in contact.

On Friday morning, the state’s flash flooding prompted disaster statements in the mountains and Concho Valley areas.

In Kerr County, the sheriff’s office reported severe flooding, with several missing people and confirmed loss of life.

Rescues and evacuations have been underway since the early morning and warned of more potential flash flooding in the state.

Officials said the state received months of precipitation in a few hours, leading to dangerous flash floods.

Gov. Greg Abbott said Texas is providing all the necessary resources to Kerrville, Ingram, Hunter and the entire Texas Mountain countryside to deal with these devastating floods”.

The area is located northwest of San Antonio.

The pictures show that deep floods flooded the bridge and fast-moving water rotated on the road.

“People, please don’t take the opportunity. Stay alert, follow local emergency warnings and don’t drive through flooded roads,” said Sid Miller, a Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner.

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office told residents that they moved to higher ground near the creek, stream and Guadalupe River.

Kerrville Mayor Joe Herring said no flood would be devastating because the country has no early warning system, as the Kerrville Daily reported.

Also, in New Jersey, authorities said at least three people died in the state after heavy rain and thunderstorms Thursday night.

Of the three, two men, 79 and 25, died after falling in a car in Plainfield during a severe storm on Thursday.

A 44-year-old woman was also killed when a tree fell on a car in North Plainfield.

“Our hearts are heavy today,” said Adrian Mapp, Mayor of Plainfield. “This tragedy is a reminder of the power of nature and the vulnerability of life.”
