Minutes after the trial, Ryan Routh, a man accused of alleged assassination of Donald Trump, was cut off by a judge for rescinding the topic.
Rolls, who defended himself, told the jurors when he began his opening speech on Thursday that he told the jurors: “The modern trial seems to have eliminated everything.”
He opened up the “history” of human existence, but was cut off within minutes by Judge Aileen Cannon, who forgave the jury and told Rous that he had to limit his comments to the case.
Rous agreed and apologized, but the judge cut him off again when he recovered, directing Rous to say his opening speech was over.
For prosecutors, little lawyer John Shipley Jr said at the opening ceremony that attempting to assassinate Trump in the 2024 election, Rolls “decided to take the choice from the American people,”
Mr Shipley said the cell phone data, security footage, handwritten notes that Routh said he intended to kill Trump, plus witness testimony will prove the case without a doubt.
The Secret Service Special Work Certificate said he found a man hiding outside Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course and was the first government witness to stand.
Robert Fercano identified in court the man he found through a bushy fence last year as Routh.
Mr Fercano testified that while patrolling the area near the sixth hole of the golf course, he saw a face, armored disk, and the muzzle of the Ak weapon that appeared to be passing through the fence.
After calling “Hey, sir”, Mr. Felcano realized that the weapon was pointed at him and called for backup when he left.
After the juror released his weapon in the direction of Routh, he heard the audio of Fercano shooting his colleague: “Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!”
At the request of the prosecutor, the attorney stood before the jury held the SKS semi-automatic rifle and they accused Ruth of obtaining illegally and used for assassination attempts.
Rolls then began asking him – Mr. Filcano said he faced him almost a year later at Trump’s golf club.
Mr. Filcano said to Mr. Russ: “I do know that you pointed your weapon in my face.”
Routh is charged with five counts of crimes, including attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate and gun charges. He pleaded not guilty.
After three days of selection, the jury had seven women and five men sitting on Wednesday. There are 4 candidates (2 women and 2 men).
Routh tried to fire potential jurors through law enforcement relations and took prejudice as bias, but the judge said his reasons were invalid for the sack.
