one Tuesday’s Congressional Hearing Titled “How scientific corruption affects public perceptions and policies on vaccines”, mainly including debates about an unpublished study that compared chronic diseases in children who received vaccines with unvaccinated vaccines.
According to testimony during the hearing, the study was conducted by Marcus Zervos of Henry Ford Health, which was completed in 2020 and has never been submitted for publication. Senator Ron Johnson Chairman Subcommittee At the hearing and witness Aaron Siri, attorney Represented RFK Jr and Anti-vaccine nonprofit informed consent action networks all claim that the study was not submitted because the authors will lose their jobs.
Zervos and other authors of the study did not appear at the hearing. This study, which has never been peer-reviewed, is not currently available as a preimpression or any other form of public.
Henry Ford Health’s communications office did not respond to a request for timely comment.
The only information about the study is currently from the hearing itself, including witness testimony and brief trailers for documentaries of the Informed Consent Action Network. The trailer said the study found that “in the unvaccinated population, there are zero brain dysfunctions, zero diabetes, zero behavioral problems, zero learning disabilities, zero intellectual disabilities, zero tics and zero other psychological disabilities”.
The trailer also includes a clip from Donald Trump: “Decades ago, 10,000 children had autism. Today, that’s one in 31.”
Witnesses on both sides of the debate at the hearing agreed that the research found no link between vaccines and autism.
Jake Scott, a clinical associate professor of infectious diseases at Stanford University and the only doctor who served as a witness at the hearing, explained differently about why the study was not published.
Scott said in his testimony that the study was “fundamentally flawed,” adding that its core issue was that “the children who were vaccinated had twice as long as they were followed up, and medical visits were much larger than those who were not vaccinated.” More medical visits mean more opportunities to be diagnosed with conditions such as ADHD.
Scott went on to explain: “The study reported cases of zero ADHD among 1,000 unvaccinated children. What is the national prevalence with a national prevalence of 11% unless conditionally undiagnosed? This is highly unlikely.” Scott noted that the study also claimed that ear infections in vaccinated children increased by six to eight times, but there is no reasonable scientific explanation for why vaccines increase ear infections.
This finding is consistent with past research and suggests that parents who are not vaccinated with children are less likely to receive treatment from their children. Health status of the health system. According to the hearing testimony, undiagnosed or treated conditions would not appear in the study, which relies on medical records.
Siri claims that the authors of the study conducted sensitivity analysis to illustrate differences in health care services. These are not disclosed.
As a point of comparison, Scott cited Danish studies Published in July this year In the internal medicine yearbook It investigated whether childhood is associated with 50 different diseases, including many of the same conditions in unpublished studies such as ADHD, autism, asthma, food allergies, and eczema. The Denmark study looked at the results of one million vaccinated children and 15,000 unvaccinated children, while the unpublished study looked at 18,500 vaccinated children and 2,000 unvaccinated children.
The Danish study found no statistically significant increase in the risk for any of the diseases studied, and that vaccinated children had a lower risk in certain diseases, such as ulcerative colitis.
Johnson and Siri expressed doubts about the Danish study, noting that the authors have not published the original data they used for the conclusions. There is no data on unpublished studies.
Later in the hearing, the conversation turned to suspicion of vaccines and Covid-19 vaccines in general.
Some of the graphics shared by Johnson missed key information. For example, he accurately introduced a line diagram showing that measles mortality rates before the introduction of vaccines in the 1960s had begun to drop significantly due to other factors such as improved hygiene, health care access and nutrition, but the charts in 1960 stopped. But after the vaccine was introduced and widely adopted, both the vaccine and the mortality rate dropped, almost dropping the vaccine.
Measles is Effectively eliminated in the United States in 2000but cases reappear when vaccine adoption decreases. have 35 measles outbreaks in 2025according to the CDC. At least two American children and one adult have died of measles this year.
Stanford witness Scott has a hard time answering some questions based on false facts. Johnson asked him: “Does he believe Fauci tell us [Covid] Will mRNA shooting stay on the arm? ”There is no reliable evidence that Fauci once said this.
Toby Rogers Links to vaccines and autism have retracted “I believe we are in one of the greatest crimes in human history,” said the vaccine. Rogers called for a hearing in a now-deleted tweet, similar to the Nuremberg trial to promote vaccines for public health officials.
Several listeners praised Richard Blumenthal, a ranking member of the hearing subcommittee, when asked Rogers if he believed the Covid-19 vaccine was comparable to the Holocaust.
