The Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments about whether the Trump administration is legal.
On Tuesday, it said it would review the lower court’s rulings and found that the president has no legal power to impose tariffs, proposed through the Emergency Economic Powers Act.
The justice said it would hear debates about the case in the first week of November.
It will be the biggest test of President Donald Trump’s administration and his signature economic policy, which has the potential to force the U.S. to refund billions of dollars in tariffs.
